Full job description

As one of the UK’s biggest all-weather racecourses, Wolverhampton Racecourse and the Holiday Inn Hotel has changed the face of racing - and it’s not just about racing. Thousands of guests enjoy Wolverhampton Racecourses multiple products each year, demonstrating the outstanding versatility of the venue from weddings and big-brand conferences to exhibitions.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and hands-on Guest Services Food & Beverage to join our team at the Holiday Inn, Wolverhampton Racecourse. From welcoming hotel guests and racegoers to supporting major events, you'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences while helping lead our Food & Beverage team.

What you'll be doing

As an integral member of our hotel operations team, you'll support the Hotel Operations Manager in the day-to-day running of our Food & Beverage operation, ensuring every guest receives outstanding service from arrival through to departure.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting and motivating the Food & Beverage team to deliver exceptional service every day.
Assisting with team rotas, staffing, training and ongoing development.
Helping drive sales through upselling and creating memorable dining and bar experiences.
Managing stock ordering, cellar operations and bar audits.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and brand compliance.
Supporting reception during busy check-in and check-out periods when required.
Acting as Duty Manager on occasion, including hotel, racecourse and event days.
Ensuring our guests always receive a warm welcome and personal service.

About you

Previous Food & Beverage or hospitality supervisory experience.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Confidence working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed.
Experience with rota planning and stock control is desirable.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and event days.
