Full job description

Pen and Sword Books is a Barnsley based publishing company.

We are seeking a dedicated, organised and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the business, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and deadlines are met.

You will be involved in managing multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth and effective project delivery.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Managing multiple projects at various stages of development
Liaising with and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, clients and external partners
Coordinating tasks and ensuring work is completed to agreed deadlines
Monitoring project schedules and key milestones
Supporting the delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation
Assisting with administrative and operational processes as required

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and disciplined in meeting deadlines? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team.

Previous experience is not required.

You will receive full training when you start, and ongoing support will be provided.

Qualifications

English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
Excellent computer skills
Excellent writing and grammar skills
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Confidence, enthusiasm, initiative and a professional attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
