Receptionist Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist 30 hours approx. to join our team at The Best Western White House Hotel Watford.

Your main responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Greet guests upon arrival and offer a seamless check in and check out experience
Understand and promote the hotel’s facilities and services and answer the guest’s questions
Process payments and organising paperwork for future and current reservations
Manage incoming calls and emails, taking messages, answering general enquiries and making bookings
Provide knowledge and suggestions of the local area and surroundings
Effectively liaise and communicate with Management, Housekeeping and Night Reception teams
Familiarise and adhere to with the hotel’s processes and brand standards
Managing any arising issues and make attempts to resolve them effectively and swiftly

Our ideal candidate:

Will have a friendly and approachable personality
Have a passion for delivering an outstanding level of customer service
Show an excellent attention to detail
Able to remain calm in all situations
Be a natural problem solver
Good knowledge of the local area
Be comfortable working as part of a team
An excellent level of English, both written and verbal
Have good computer skills.
