Financial Services Administrator

Location: Cheltenham
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week initially, with the potential to increase to full-time over time
Working Pattern: Hybrid – minimum 2–3 days working from home

WeRecruit4You Ltd are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an established Financial Services business in Cheltenham for a Junior Financial Services professional to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build a long-term career within Financial Services and gain valuable hands-on experience within a supportive and professional environment.

The role is initially expected to be around 20 hours per week, with the potential for this to develop into a full-time position (35 hours) over the next 1–2 years as the successful candidate develops their skills and takes on additional responsibilities.

For the right person, this could be an ideal opportunity to gain practical experience alongside their professional qualifications.

About the Role

Working closely with experienced Financial Advisers and the wider team, you'll provide support across the day-to-day administration and financial planning process.

The role would suit someone who has started their career in Financial Services and is keen to develop their technical knowledge and experience.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting Financial Advisers with the preparation and administration of client cases.
Assisting with client documentation, applications and correspondence.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records.
Liaising with providers and third parties to obtain information.
Assisting with research and preparation of financial planning documentation.
Supporting the team with ongoing client reviews and administration.
Using financial services and CRM systems to manage client information and workflows.
Helping ensure client cases progress efficiently and within required timescales.
Providing general administrative and technical support to the wider team.
Taking on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develops.

About You

We're particularly interested in candidates who have some exposure to Financial Services and are keen to continue developing their career.

You may be:

Starting out in Financial Services and looking for an opportunity to gain further experience.
Working towards CeMAP or another relevant financial services qualification.
Already holding CeMAP or having completed some FCA-related examinations.
Someone with previous experience using Intelligent Office (IO) or similar financial services systems.
Based in Cheltenham or the surrounding area.
Comfortable working independently from home while also enjoying regular office-based collaboration.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicating with colleagues, clients and providers.
Keen to learn and develop within the Financial Services industry.

Previous experience within Financial Services is advantageous, but we're also open to candidates who have the right qualifications, attitude and desire to develop.

Working Arrangement & Progression

The initial requirement is for approximately 20 hours per week, making this a particularly attractive opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves within Financial Services without immediately committing to a full-time position.

There is genuine potential for the role to develop into 35 hours per week over the next 1–2 years as the successful candidate gains experience and takes on more responsibility.

Alternatively, if you are specifically looking for a long-term part-time position, the business is open to discussing this with the right candidate.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with the expectation that you'll work from home for at least 2–3 days per week, alongside time spent working collaboratively from the Cheltenham office.
