Full job description

Location: Newtownards

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are a busy, well-established driving school looking for an organised, friendly and proactive Office Manager / Administrator to join our team.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office, providing excellent customer service, and supporting both our customers and driving instructors.

Key Responsibilities

● Answering telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries.

● Booking driving lessons and managing instructor schedules.

● General office administration and record keeping.

● Maintaining accurate customer records using computer systems.

● Liaising with customers and instructors in a professional and friendly manner.

● Processing payments and assisting with office accounts.

● Supporting the overall day-to-day operation of the business.

What We’re Looking For

● Previous office administration or office management experience.

● Excellent computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and other software.

● Outstanding communication and customer service skills.

● A professional and friendly telephone manner.

● Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

● Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently using your own initiative.

● A positive, reliable and flexible attitude.

Desirable (but not essential):

● Experience with bookkeeping or accounting.

● Experience working in a customer-facing office environment.
