Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to support individuals in care homes and within their own homes. Days, nights & twighlight shift patterns. The successful candidate will provide essential assistance with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of clients. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives through personalised care and support. The position is paid, and full training will be provided to develop your skills further.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support clients with mobility and daily routines in accordance with their care plans
Encourage social interaction and mental stimulation through engaging activities
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring as required
Assist with light domestic tasks such as tidying, laundry, and meal preparation
Drive clients to appointments or outings if necessary, ensuring safety at all times

Experience

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation
Familiarity with care plans and basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining accurate records
Excellent communication skills in English are essential for building rapport with clients and team members
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
