Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive technology and a commitment to high-quality service. The position involves working with specialised tools and equipment, adhering to safety standards, and providing exceptional customer service. Candidates must be organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough diagnostics using mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues accurately.
Perform repairs and maintenance on motor vehicles, including engine work, brake repairs, suspension, and electrical systems.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks efficiently.
Assist in the installation of new components and equipment within vehicles.
Carry out heavy lifting as required for parts replacement or assembly tasks.
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out on each vehicle for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and organisational standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance is preferred but not essential.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, and automotive electrical components.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair standards.
Good physical fitness with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.
