Due to recent growth, we have a great opportunity at Ion Care & Support within our care home in Maddison, Falkirk. We are currently recruiting for home care assistants to join our team.

This would be a great path for someone to go down who is looking to make a real difference and be there helping others. We have our care home residents at heart and go above & beyond to ensure they are getting all the right care & support.

*Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Skilled Worker Sponsorship Visa*

Bank Hours
Part Time Contracts
Hourly rate at £13.55 per hour
Ongoing Support
£250* Welcome Bonus (if you stay for 6 months)
Great referral scheme – £200 for every person you refer (if the carer stays for 6 months)
Personal Development Plan – full comprehensive training courses and the opportunity to gain SVQ 3 qualification
Pension & Incentive scheme

Duties for this role will include but not be limited to:

Providing a full range of care and support services to service users within our care home.
Provide personal care which could include assisting with washing, showering, bathing, and dressing, always promoting dignity and respect.
Planning, developing, and hosting a range of social and enablement activities with residents.
Record keeping for monitoring residents health.
Supporting to meet nutritional and hydration needs – taking into consideration special dietary needs.
Interacting with residents, promoting independence & freedom of choice.
Dementia care.

In your role as a care worker the following skills and qualities would be beneficial:

A warm and caring approach with a genuine desire to help our residents.
Willingness to develop further skills & keep up to date with legislation.
Ability to work safely and comply with health and safety legislation.
Forward thinking and can work on your own initiative.
Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
A self-confident individual who can stimulate our residents to be motivated and involved.
The ability to work and relate to people from a variety of backgrounds.
A respectful approach to residents.
Reliable and flexible with shift patterns.
