Job Overview
30 hours per week, part-time | Bath

Do you speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese?
Are you passionate about supporting older people and families in the Chinese community?

BEMSCA is looking for a Chinese Community Worker to help shape the Next Generation of our services. With over 30 years of community impact, we support older people across Bath & North East Somerset to stay connected, healthy and valued.

Duties

Support Chinese elders and families
Deliver activities, advice and outreach
Work with health, social care and community partners
Help reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
Document care activities accurately and report any concerns to senior staff.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications such as first aid certification are advantageous.
Understanding of community engagement activities and Chinese culture is essential.
Valid driving licence preferred for community outreach and off site meetings
Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude towards elders of all ages,
Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £28,290.00 per year
