Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Self Employed Courier to join our logistics team. This role offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to operate independently while delivering essential goods across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent organisation, and effective communication abilities to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Duties

Collect parcels from designated warehouse or collection points and verify delivery details
Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption
Safely load and unload goods, including heavy lifting when necessary
Deliver packages to customers' addresses in a professional and courteous manner
Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required, maintaining accurate records
Communicate proactively with clients regarding delivery status or any issues encountered
Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations
Manage daily schedules independently, adapting to changing priorities as needed

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly desirable
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is advantageous
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong organisational skills for route planning and time management
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
Knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and safety procedures
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without supervision
