Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bakery Manager to lead our bakery team and oversee daily operations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional baked goods. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant bakery environment, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Previous experience in baking, and supervising teams within a Bakery is essential. The Bakery Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the bakery’s reputation for excellence while fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Lead, supervise, and motivate bakery staff to achieve operational goals and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
Plan and coordinate baking schedules, ensuring timely production of baked goods to meet customer demand
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in accordance with food safety standards
Develop new recipes and improve existing products to enhance the bakery’s offerings
Ensure all food preparation complies with hygiene standards and food safety legislation
Provide training and mentorship to team members on baking techniques, food safety procedures, and customer service
Maintain cleanliness of the bakery environment, including equipment maintenance and sanitation practices
Monitor customer feedback and address any issues promptly to uphold excellent service standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in baking, cooking, or culinary roles within a bakery or hospitality environment
Supervising experience with team management skills essential for leading bakery staff effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
Experience in restaurant or hotel settings is highly desirable, along with barista or serving experience
Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent organisational skills
Knowledge of kitchen operations, food presentation, and baking techniques
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
Relevant qualifications in laminating or hospitality management are advantageous
