Full job description

Job Purpose

We are looking for a professional Part-Time Receptionist to join our small, friendly team in beautiful offices near Holborn tube station. As the first point of contact for our organization, you will play a key role in welcoming guests, managing phone calls, and handling administrative tasks. We value effective communication, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a team-oriented environment.

Core Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:00–6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome visitors with a warm and professional manner to reflect our company standards.
Answer phone calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate staff members with courtesy and efficiency.
Respond to inquiries from clients, visitors, and staff members in a timely and courteous manner, maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
Maintain the meeting rooms and reception area, ensuring they are consistently tidy and presentable.
Receive and distribute mail, packages, and organize courier deliveries with attention to detail and efficiency.
Undertake general administrative and data entry tasks to contribute to the overall efficiency of office operations.
Ensure the smooth running of the office and assist with an ad-hoc tasks when necessary.

Candidate's profile

Key Skills:

Proven work experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly phone manner.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Proficient in using computer software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
The capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure, ensuring professionalism in all situations.
Familiarity with the technology required for presentations.
Flexibility to work part-time hours and cover when necessary.
