Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and personable Hotel Receptionist to join our welcoming team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant hospitality environment, where organisational skills and guest relations are paramount. The ideal applicant will be friendly, attentive, and possess a genuine passion for hospitality.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out process
Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system
Answer phone calls promptly, maintaining excellent phone etiquette
Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
Handle guest requests and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of transactions
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared
Maintain a tidy reception area, ensuring it is welcoming at all times
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence as needed

Experience

Previous experience in a hotel or customer service environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guests effectively
Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette are essential
Knowledge of guest services standards within the hospitality industry is advantageous
Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail are required to manage reservations and guest requests efficiently
