Full job description

We're looking for dedicated Out of Hours Call Handlers to join our team. As an Out of Hours Call Handler, you'll play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to our service users outside of regular office hours. Your responsibilities will include answering calls, assessing urgent situations, and coordinating appropriate responses. We're seeking candidates with experience in both the Care Industry and call handling. Your knowledge of care practices and your ability to handle calls with empathy and efficiency will be invaluable in ensuring our service users receive the assistance they need, when they need it most.

See below shifts available:

Weekend work 8a.m-2p.m or 2p.m-8a.m

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain all client activity on IT system
Prepare handover materials at the end of shift
To represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, on the telephone, face to face or in written communication
To ensure that telephones are answered promptly and people are spoken to in a polite and respectful manner
To be conversant with the Care Standards Act 2008 for Domiciliary Care Regulations (National Minimum Standards) and legislation governing the service and other regulations concerning the provision of both domiciliary care and residential care services
To be aware of the Quality Assurance Policy of the Company in the provision of a quality service to the Service Users
To maintain confidentiality at all times and carry out the Company's Confidentiality Policy
To report to the Area Manager, Assistant Manager and Director of Care any issues regarding the safeguarding of clients
To ensure the continuous improvement of service delivery
To participate in companywide projects
To carry out any other tasks required by the company

To undertake any other reasonable duties as required*

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Experience working within the Care Industry
Call handling experience
Strong IT Skills
Relationship Management
Strong telephone skills
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
