Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and proactive General Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting daily operations across various departments, ensuring smooth workflow and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience within a dynamic working environment. The role involves performing a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall productivity of the organisation, with an emphasis on teamwork, attention to detail, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment and workstations to facilitate production processes.
Supporting team members in carrying out operational tasks, including handling materials and supplies.
Conducting routine inspections to ensure safety standards are maintained throughout the workplace.
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within designated work areas to promote a safe environment.
Assisting with inventory management by organising stock and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
Supporting specialised teams with additional duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.
Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during daily activities.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar operative or labouring role is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures within a manufacturing or industrial environment is desirable.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to undertake physical tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and manual handling activities.
A proactive attitude with strong communication skills and reliability are essential qualities for success in this role.

Pay: £12.21-£18.71 per hour
