About the Role:
Belfast has become a growing centre for business services, professional consulting and operational leadership. At Brand Aventus Business Services, we help organisations improve performance, strengthen internal processes and deliver better outcomes for their clients.
We are looking for a Director of Operations who can take ownership of our operational strategy and lead the continued development of our business services. You will oversee day-to-day operations, guide senior managers and ensure that teams, systems and resources are aligned with the company’s wider objectives.
This is not simply an administrative leadership position. You will play a central role in shaping how the organisation operates, grows and delivers consistent value to clients.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment:
Our Belfast office provides a professional and collaborative working environment close to the city centre. We value clear communication, accountable leadership and practical decision-making.
Leadership Influence:
You will work closely with senior management and have a meaningful voice in operational planning, investment priorities and company-wide improvement initiatives.
Established Services:
You will join a growing business with structured service areas, experienced employees and opportunities to strengthen processes across multiple departments.
Professional Growth:
You will have access to leadership development opportunities, industry events and relevant professional training to support your continued development.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy:
Develop and implement operational plans that support the company’s commercial objectives, service standards and long-term growth.
Business Performance:
Monitor departmental performance, operational costs, service quality and key performance indicators. Identify areas where efficiency and accountability can be improved.
Leadership and Team Development:
Lead senior managers and department heads. Set clear expectations, support leadership development and promote a high-performance working culture.
Process Improvement:
Review existing systems, workflows and procedures. Introduce practical improvements that reduce delays, manage risk and improve service delivery.
Resource Planning:
Oversee workforce planning, budgets, suppliers and operational resources to ensure that the business can meet current and future requirements.
Client Service Oversight:
Work with client-facing teams to maintain service standards, resolve operational challenges and support strong long-term client relationships.
Governance and Compliance:
Ensure that operations follow internal policies, contractual requirements and relevant legal and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Management:
Present operational updates, recommendations and performance reports to senior leadership, clients and other key stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 8 years of experience in operations, business services, professional services or corporate management, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position.
Leadership:
Proven experience managing managers, leading multiple departments and delivering measurable operational improvements.
Commercial Awareness:
Strong understanding of budgets, resource planning, contract performance and the relationship between operational decisions and business results.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present recommendations and manage senior stakeholders.
Problem Solving:
A practical and analytical approach to identifying operational issues, evaluating risks and implementing effective solutions.
Qualifications:
A degree in Business Management, Operations, Finance or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent senior leadership experience will also be considered.
Mindset:
You are organised, commercially aware and comfortable making decisions in a changing business environment. You understand when detailed analysis is required and when decisive action is necessary.
