Job Overview

Seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a kitchen porter. In this vital role, you will support the culinary team by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a lively hospitality setting while working flexible hours that fit your schedule.

Responsibilities

Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients to assist with food preparation tasks under the guidance of the kitchen staff
Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts
Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures to ensure a tidy workspace
Support the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service periods
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to promote a safe working environment for all staff
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Basic knowledge of food handling, preparation, and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
Flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
Good physical stamina for standing long periods and performing manual tasks
A genuine interest in culinary arts and hospitality industry practices
