ROLE TYPE: Permanent

HOURS: 39 hours per week

PAY: £12.50 – £14.50 an hour dependent on experience

THE ROLE

Due to the Company’s ongoing success and growth, we have an exciting new position as a Wet Paint Sprayer/General Operative. This role requires a team player, with extensive hand spraying experience with primers, basecoats, metallics and lacquers. As well as having 1 and 2k paint mixing and component preparation knowledge; ensuring high-quality standards are met whilst maintaining safety protocols.

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS

A minimum of 3 years’ experience, spraying all types of paints, onto automotive components of various sizes.
Ability to spray high volume components to a consistently high-quality standard, throughout a shift.
Knowledge of all types of substrates and their preparation prior to painting.
Understanding of spray equipment, from stripping and cleaning spray guns to spray-booth maintenance.
Able to independently set up and adjust spray gun settings as per works instructions, and competently spray specific jobs unsupervised.
Very good attention to detail, spraying high-end cosmetic automotive parts.
Ability to meet deadlines and respond positively to pressure.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Able to spray components continuously throughout your shift to meet customer demand.
Can work speedily with no detriment to quality, managing time well with no loss of output.
To understand and work to detailed Process Card, works instructions.
Maintain equipment by performing routine checks.
Keep environment and equipment clean and in good working order.
Ensuring PPE is worn at all times. Whilst carrying out daily maintenance of Air fed masks (including air pressure settings).
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
General operative duties as required by the business
