Full job description

Candidate duties must include good, personable people skills and computer literacy. The candidate must ensure that the reception area of the practice runs smoothly, this includes administration, answering basic questions and queries. The candidate must at all times provide a high level of service to patients and other members of the practice team. Candidate advise patients on appointment times and book appointments for eye examinations and contact lens examinations.

The ideal candidate must be willing to undergo training regarding dispensing of optical appliances if required.

House keeping duties is essential.

Advise patients on eyewear/ frame suitability.

Good customer service skills is essential.

Must be flexible and willing to cover extra shifts if required during holiday cover for other member of staff.

£12.71/hr to do minimum of 5 days/week , extra shifts may be required.

summary of Duties: - Making appointments on computer and paper records Dealing with general enquires Contacting other providers

Showing customers frames and advising them on frame choice

Willing to be trained on how to interact with patients and how to advise patients on frame choice and lenses options and choice of contact lenses

Be polite and caring at all times to staff and patients

Be punctual at work at all times

Filing of paperwork/good record keeping/administration

Leaflet distribution in and around South Ockendon

Cleaning and maintaining the practice/including shop floor/toilets/consulting room/staff room

Opening and closing the store

Dealing with customer complaints and how to resolve them
