Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong focus on patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate will have pharmacy Dispenser experience, be knowledgeable in medication administration, and possess excellent communication skills.

Willingness to Learn & Apply: You must be eager to absorb new information (e.g., dispensing procedures, counter protocol, healthcare policy) and consistently put that knowledge into practice.

Organization & Attention to Detail: The ability to be highly organized, manage multiple tasks, and maintain meticulous accuracy in a fast-paced environment is essential.
A Proactive Mindset: You will be willing to push the pharmacy forward, looking for opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and embrace new ways of working.
Team Player: You must possess excellent communication skills and be ready to support all aspects of the pharmacy operation.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosages, and potential side effects.
Assist in the preparation and administration of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective medication management.
Keep the pharmacy environment clean and organised, ensuring that all equipment is maintained in good working order.
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry standards and practices.

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy Dispenser is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medication administration processes and protocols is essential.
Strong commitment to patient care with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for record keeping and inventory management.
