Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our premium hospitality venues Grape & Grain and Mediterranean. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in management within retail or sales environments. This role requires strategic thinking, organisational prowess, and the ability to motivate teams to achieve business objectives. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This is a paid position suitable for a professional eager to contribute to organisational success and growth.

Duties

Develop and implement strategic plans to meet organisational goals and objectives.
Lead, supervise, and motivate management teams to ensure high performance and staff development.
Oversee daily operations across various departments, including sales, merchandising, and administrative functions.
Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation effectively.
Foster a positive organisational culture centred on teamwork, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation.
Coordinate recruitment, training programmes, and staff evaluations to maintain a skilled workforce.
Monitor operational performance metrics regularly to ensure targets are achieved or exceeded.

Skills

Proven management experience with a strong background in managing teams within retail or sales environments for 5+ years.
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams towards shared goals.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
Exceptional communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for effective stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative functions. Candidate must have competent computer and till system knowledge.
Proficiency in time management with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organisational skills complemented by attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining professionalism.

Proven 5+ year track record in senior management within the hospitality and leisure sector with competent computer and till systems knowledge.
Strong commercial awareness with deep knowledge of cost control, sales performance, and revenue management.
A charismatic, hands-on leader who leads by example and thrives in high-energy, fast-paced environments.
