Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities and support individuals in maintaining their independence while adhering to care plans. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support individuals with mobility and physical activities
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions
Implement care plans tailored to each resident's needs
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents at all times
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills

Skills

Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous
Proficient in English for effective communication with residents and team members
Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents if required

The Shift pattern;

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Day Shifts are 0745 – 2000

Night Shifts are 1945 – 0800

We pay for the full shift including all breaks!

The shift pattern is Two weeks of days and Two Weeks of night shifts.
