Full or Part-Time Dental Receptionist (Permanent)
Busy NHS / Mixed Practice

We are a family-owned, high-volume mixed dental practice seeking an experienced dental receptionist to join our established reception team a full or part-time, permanent basis (min 3 days for part-time).

This is a fast-paced front-desk role in a busy NHS setting, with phone traffic, substantial patient flow, and systems to follow. It is best suited to someone who enjoys working at pace, can remain calm under pressure, and takes pride in being organised and reliable.

The role

Managing a high volume of phone calls and patient enquiries
Booking and managing busy clinical diaries
Handling NHS patient queries and complaints professionally
Checking patients in and out efficiently
Working closely with clinicians and the wider reception team

About you

Experienced in dental or medical reception (essential)
Confident working in a busy, sometimes demanding environment
Calm, resilient, and professional when dealing with challenging situations
Strong work ethic and reliability — this role requires consistency and stamina
A team player who can also work independently
Experience with SOE Exact is preferred (training can be provided)

Working hours are 8.45am-5.45pm with one late evening every week finishing around 7pm.

The practice is open one Saturday per month for half day and this is shared between the team so you can expect to work once every 2-3 months.
