Full job description

Main Tasks and Duties

Control and monitor all delivery and collection paperwork once planned to ensure accuracy and timely completion, therefore allowing for delivery to take place as planned. This includes timely collection of picked paperwork from the various locations on site.
Deal with any queries from drivers over the phone and assist with any delivery issues reported by the driver before leaving site.
Report any pick or paperwork inaccuracies to Operations for further action in order for daily work to take place and to stop any potential delays in delivery.
Ensure all failed deliveries, or delivery issues are reported to the relevant areas and logged on the reports.
Ensure all orders for overnight carrier are sent down for picking daily and any urgent or further orders sent down as required during the day. This is monitored and any checks done at the end of each day to ensure all orders are picked or cancelled back.
Complete customer bookings for planned orders daily.
Process all paperwork returned by Drivers and take paperwork for other departments to the correct locations.
Ensure customer requirements are met where possible and that paperwork and systems are updated accordingly.
To liaise with couriers, carriers or hauliers as required to book any required deliveries, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of consignment documentation using the systems required.
Enter Purchase Orders onto D365 for work completed for the Transport Department and pass references back to the service providers.
Locate and provide POD’s for other departments as requested.
Ensure timely responses to relevant departments requesting feedback, whilst providing information in advance on delivery issues, following departmental systems in place.
Ensure the preparation and timely issue of relevant reports as required.
Sense check Carrier invoices and report discrepancies.
Attempt to further develop and improve the Transport Administrator role.
Assist other staff members within the team to ensure all roles are completed as required daily.
To undertake any other work as can be reasonably expected.

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
