Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining metal folding presses to produce high-quality folded metal sections efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure smooth production workflows, uphold quality standards, and support the overall success of our manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to develop their technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the creation of top-tier folded metal products.

Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor metal folding presses to produce assigned folding jobs with precision and consistency
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
Use hand tools, power tools, as needed for press setup, adjustments, or minor repairs
Conduct quality checks throughout production runs to identify and correct defects or inconsistencies on folded materials
Assist with fabricating and assembling components related to folding projects, including handling raw materials and finished products
Manage heavy lifting of steel / aluminium plates safely and efficiently within warehouse settings
Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and quality inspections

Qualifications

Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand press machinery operations and perform basic troubleshooting
Experience with hand tools, power tools, fabrication, or assembly work is highly desirable
Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with material handling processes is a plus
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during production runs
Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive approach to equipment maintenance
Basic understanding of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments
