Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and innovative Fashion Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing unique clothing and accessory designs that align with current trends and brand identity. This role involves translating concepts into detailed sketches, creating digital prototypes, and collaborating with production teams to bring designs to life. The successful applicant will utilise a range of design tools and software to produce high-quality, market-ready fashion pieces. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate designer eager to make a significant impact within the fashion industry.

Responsibilities

Develop original fashion concepts and collections based on market trends and brand direction
Create detailed sketches using digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD software
Utilise programmes like SketchUp, Maya, and Sketch to develop 3D visualisations of designs
Produce technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing purposes
Collaborate with pattern makers, fabric suppliers, and production teams to ensure design integrity during development
Conduct research on colour palettes, textiles, and accessories to enhance collections
Maintain an up-to-date portfolio showcasing current projects and innovative ideas
Assist in photo shoots by providing styling input and overseeing the visual presentation of designs
Stay informed about emerging trends in fashion, web design, graphic design, and digital media to incorporate fresh ideas into collections

Experience

Proven experience in fashion design or related creative fields such as graphic design or web design
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant software including Maya, CAD programmes, SketchUp, and After Effects
Strong skills in digital design, sketching, photography, HTML, CSS, and graphic design are highly desirable
Experience with colour theory, textile selection, and technical pattern drafting is advantageous
Portfolio demonstrating a range of fashion projects that showcase creativity, technical skill, and versatility
