Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional Recovery Driver (7.5t) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and goods using a 7.5-tonne flatbed vehicle. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial driving and delivery operations to contribute to a reliable and efficient service. The position requires a dedicated, safety-conscious driver with a strong work ethic and excellent driving skills.

Duties

Safely operate a 7.5-tonne flatbed vehicle to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles and goods to designated locations.
Ensure all loads are secured correctly and adhere to safety regulations throughout transit.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with road regulations.
Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling at all times.
Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with company policies.
Adhere strictly to health and safety standards during all operations, prioritising safe driving practices at all times.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record suitable for operating a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or recovery operations.
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling.
Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or other route planning tools.
Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and route planning. This role is ideal for motivated drivers seeking a professional environment where safety, efficiency, and customer service are paramount.
