Overview

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Chef will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding dining experience while maintaining a well-organised and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Manage food production processes, including planning menus and controlling portion sizes
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with recipes and customer specifications
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control procedures
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver excellent service experiences
Uphold organisational policies related to health & safety and cleanliness

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and suppliers
Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
Formal culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred
