Job Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter / Cleaner, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and our environment spotless. This vital role ensures a clean, safe, and efficient workspace, supporting chefs and restaurant staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities

Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of culinary staff to support smooth kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and thoroughly
Ensure all surfaces, floors, and equipment are sanitized regularly in compliance with health and safety standards
Support the setup and breakdown of dining areas by clearing tables and assisting with general tidiness
Manage waste disposal responsibly, ensuring proper recycling and waste segregation practices are followed
Restock supplies such as cleaning materials and kitchen essentials to keep the workspace organized
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold a safe environment for staff and guests

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking processes, or culinary environments is advantageous
Strong understanding of cleanliness standards within kitchens or hospitality environments
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards service excellence
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
