We're offering two permanent, full-time opportunities to play a key role in delivering some of our most important programmes and ensure vital projects are effectively managed and successfully delivered.

You'll be joining us at a pivotal time, supporting major programmes that will help shape the future of Great Britain's energy system. Your work will provide the structure, oversight and insight that enables projects to progress confidently, helping teams deliver against ambitious objectives and achieve lasting outcomes.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Support the definition, implementation, and on-going management of the agreed project management approach/plan for the project.
Ensure the project is using the agreed project management framework, using the standard project tools and templates
Coordinate reporting from the project and provide analysispres of performance to inform management decisions.
Provide administration to project team by co-ordinating project activities and events, such as capturing minutes, actions & decisions.
Ensure mechanisms and reporting tools are in place to enable effective planning and scheduling, ensuring the project has clear milestones and project plan to support effective delivery.
Recognise and track dependencies.
Maintain the quality of information in resource management tools.
Support the identification and monitoring of project risks and issues and escalate as appropriate.
Manage professional relationships and engage with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external.

Key Outputs and Deliverables

Assist with planning, maintaining the portfolio plan.
Maintain RAID log for portfolio.
Create and maintain library of portfolio documentation.
Manage PMO shared mailbox & SharePoint site
Offer suggestions to improve processes & tooling to deliver better outcomes and efficiencies.

Person specification

Essential Criteria:

Experience in developing delivery plans, including clear and transparent work objectives, milestones, and success metrics (LEAD)
Skilled collaborator with strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills at senior levels
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and ad hoc tasks.
Experience of project reporting including creating & updating project dashboards and RAID logs.
