Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Passenger Assistant to join our team, committed to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers during their journeys. In this vital role, you will support passengers with diverse needs, including those requiring assisted living, patient care, or specialized support due to age or health conditions. Your energetic approach and positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment for all travelers. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of passengers while working in a dynamic and supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and navigating transportation facilities
Provide support for individuals with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting and wheelchair assistance
Ensure passenger safety by monitoring behavior and managing conduct during transit
Support passengers requiring special care such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, or hospice needs
Prepare and serve meals or snacks when necessary, adhering to dietary requirements
Administer basic first aid in case of minor injuries or health concerns
Drive vehicles responsibly while adhering to safety protocols and traffic laws
Maintain clear communication with team members and report any incidents or concerns promptly

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or senior care is highly desirable
Background in patient care, caregiving, or home care services is beneficial
Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, hospice support, or behavior management enhances effectiveness in this role
Experience with medication administration and first aid certification is preferred
Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks safely
Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards diverse passenger needs
Valid driving license with a clean record is required
