We're looking for a Mobile Caretaker to join our Meadowhead Secondary School team based in Sheffield.

Location: Meadowhead Secondary School, Sheffield
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Mobile Caretaker, you'll be ensuring the delivery of Facilities Management services to Meadowhead Secondary School, maintaining our high-quality standards and creating a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a hands-on role where you'll be an essential part of keeping the school running smoothly day to day.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Mobile Caretaker, you'll be working within the Facilities Management team, supporting them in maintaining the school building and grounds to the highest standards. Your day to day will include:

Carrying out remedial tasks and planned maintenance including fire alarm activation, water temperature checks, and building inspections
Providing hosting services and room set-ups for meetings and events
Monitoring subcontractors and liaising with the Facilities Coordinator on ongoing work
Moving furniture and equipment, and completing ad-hoc jobs as required
Providing holiday and sickness cover for caretaking and cleaning staff, with on-call duties 1 week in 3

What are we looking for?

This role of Mobile Caretaker is great for you if:

You have previous experience in caretaking or handy person duties and enjoy practical, hands-on work
You're physically fit to perform lifting and handling tasks following manual handling training
You can communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service every time
You're confident reading and processing instructions, and updating information systems
