About us

The Joint Operations Family is a Human Tissue Specialist and a group of Medical Device companies based in Royal Wootton Bassett, founded in 2015. Our mission is to improve patient outcomes with innovative, high-quality medical devices, ethical integrity and compassionate care and expertise in Human Tissue Supply. The businesses have grown rapidly and there is now a team of 80+ people managing a portfolio of innovative healthcare technologies used in hospitals throughout the United Kingdom. About the Role

The Quality Inspector will work within our Quality Team and provide dedicated quality support for Joint Operations, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient management of activities within the Human Tissue Room. Strengthening regulatory compliance, improving quality system effectiveness, and provide operational resilience through additional quality oversight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

Final verification for the review and release of Human Tissue products, ensuring compliance with Human Tissue Authority (HTA) requirements and internal procedures are maintained/achieved.
Act as the designated Human Tissue trainer and competency assessor
Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS).
Lead and support the investigation, documentation, and timely closure of nonconformances, deviations, CAPAs, and quality incidents.
Plan, conduct, and monitor internal audits, ensuring audit schedules are maintained and findings are addressed promptly.
Support regulatory inspections and quality reviews, including preparation of documentation and evidence of compliance.
Monitor quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with document control activities, ensuring procedures, policies, and records remain current and compliant.
Provide quality guidance and training to operational staff as required.
Support the Quality team in maintaining Health & Safety compliance through audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement activities.

Skills & Experience Requirements

Experience working within a regulated Quality or compliance environment.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality assurance principles.
Understanding and/or experience of Human Tissue Authority (HTA) requirements and regulatory compliance.
Experience managing nonconformances, CAPAs, and quality documentation.
Experience conducting internal audits and supporting inspection readiness.
Ability to develop and deliver training, including competency assessments.
Experience supporting the implementation and maintenance of electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS).
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to review documentation accurately.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
A positive attitude and commitment to supporting operational excellence and regulatory standards.
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent recognised Health & Safety qualification (Desirable)

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
