Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a professional culinary setting, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in delivering high-quality service to our guests. The role is suitable for individuals with an interest in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality, whether you are starting your career or looking to develop your skills further.

Duties

Responsible for washing, cleaning, and sanitising kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the shift.
Supporting chefs with ingredient organisation and stock replenishment.
Assisting with waste disposal and ensuring recycling procedures are followed.
Maintaining health and safety standards within the kitchen environment at all times.
Supporting the overall cleanliness of the kitchen including floors, surfaces, and storage areas.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary and hospitality services.
A positive attitude and reliability are essential qualities for success in this role.
