We're expanding in Clydebank!! If you’re looking for job satisfaction and share our values, then we want to hear from you!

Our team is on the lookout for an understanding and motivated individual with a positive attitude to join them as a Support Practitioner on a full-time, permanent basis (39 hours per week).

You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner including a fully funded SVQ.

The Role:

The individuals we support have diverse needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, addictions and past trauma. As a Support Practitioner you will assist with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling and personal care. As well as helping the people we support in their own homes, you’ll also provide emotional support and assist them to maintain relationships with family and friends.

The people we support are all very different with their hobbies and likes, from attending clubs to going out for lunch with friends, quiet moments in the library and trips away, every day is different. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to take an active interest in the hobbies and passions of those we support. Whether it’s discovering new opportunities, encouraging social connections, learning new skills or reducing isolation, you’ll help individuals lead the lives they choose.

Some individuals have their own mobility cars and love going for a drive. It would be great if you have a full UK, manual driving licence but this isn’t mandatory to join our team!

To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:

Have an empathetic and caring nature.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence in using computers.
Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
Good organisational skills.

About Us:

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland provides personalised and outcome-focused support to over 2800 individuals in their own homes across Scotland, making us the country's largest provider of social care. We support individuals with a variety of different needs such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse and autism. Some of the people we support can present challenging behavior or require a high level of personal care.

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated team provide 24/7 support, shifts include earlies, back shifts and sleepovers. The role will include working weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
