Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism and other disabilities. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties

Support students with special educational needs, including those with autism, to access the curriculum and participate actively in classroom activities
Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique requirements
Foster positive communication and social interactions among students, encouraging independence and confidence
Provide one-on-one or small group support during lessons, ensuring students understand instructions and stay engaged
Help manage classroom behavior by applying consistent, positive reinforcement strategies
Assist with daily routines such as Toddler care, including personal hygiene, meal times, and transitions between activities
Monitor student progress and report observations to teachers and specialists to inform ongoing support strategies

Qualifications

Experience working with children, particularly in special education or inclusive settings
Prior experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable
Knowledge of teaching techniques tailored for learners with diverse needs
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists
Compassionate attitude with patience and adaptability in challenging situations
Ability to support toddlers and young children in their developmental milestones
Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are advantageous but not mandatory
