The Opportunity

We are looking for a Hire Desk Administrator to join our busy team and provide efficient administrative support across our hire operations.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
Office based Role

This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll need to be organised, adaptable and comfortable juggling multiple tasks while ensuring orders, purchase orders and invoices are handled accurately and on time.

Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Hire Desk
Managing and processing purchase orders (POs) across aggregates and engineering
Supporting plant hire administration
Raising and managing POs and ensuring jobs are correctly recorded and processed
Processing and reconciling invoices
Following up on outstanding or unbooked jobs/orders
Working closely with Speedy and other suppliers/partners
Keeping records accurate and up to date
Supporting colleagues and providing cover for each other within the team
Helping ensure the Hire Desk operates smoothly and efficiently

We’re looking for someone who:

Is highly organised and able to prioritise competing demands
Has excellent attention to detail
Is confident managing a busy workload and juggling multiple tasks
Has good communication and administration skills
Is comfortable working with purchase orders, invoices and reconciliation
Can work independently but is also a strong team player
Is adaptable and willing to learn
Ideally has experience in administration, hire desk, purchasing, engineering, construction or a similar environment
