The role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate and creative individual to join our Football Development department. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Supporting the Football Development Manager to create a positive learning environment to support and develop all players to attain the highest levels of performance in a safe, secure and supportive environment. You will work with the Football Development Manager to drive and nurture a positive culture within the training groups and create an environment where players can learn, have fun and develop and love and passion for football.
You will lead coaches to develop players technically and tactically and ensure that the coaching programme adheres to and exceeds all Club standards and FA ETC Licence requirements.
This role will also see the officer create opportunities for young girls aged 5 and up kickstart their journey into football through the FA Wildcats, Squad Girls, and existing Foundation girls programmes.
The role
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver inspiring, interactive and engaging sessions for all players whilst aligning them to our principles of play and in line with Club standards and FA ETC requirements.

To be responsible for planning and delivering high quality sessions in line with our coaching curriculum.

Ensure the focus of every training session and game is always on the individual progression of the player

To create sessions which enable individuals to develop their skills and abilities and to support and challenge them to develop.
- To be responsible for reviewing, reflecting and evaluation sessions and providing feedback to players and parents/carers

Where required, provide written and oral reports of coaching sessions and games.

Ensure the focus of every training session and game is always on the individual progression of the player.

Coordinate and be available for all player & parent review meetings.

To act professionally when representing the Foundation and its programmes, including but not limited to training/ games, and to be set up and ready 15 minutes prior to the players arrival.

To be a positive role model to all players, parents and work colleagues.

To create and deliver the training programme and to lead the squad on the ETC games programme.

To create a coaching syllabus for the ETC programme.

To create an ETC coaching philosophy.

To create an ETC playing philosophy.

Work in line with our ETC playing and coaching philosophy to promote a culture and identity throughout the ETC.

Ensure all equipment is maintained and facilities are respected, to give our players the best experience.

In line with our safeguarding policies, the coach needs to ensure that all relevant documentation is kept up to date and is accessible on request.

Ensure all coaches delivering on these programmes have relevant documentation and are safe to work

To be committed to ensuring the welfare and safeguarding of elite Emerging Talent Centre players, maintaining professional boundaries and promoting their well-being needs.

Promote healthy lifestyle choices and provide educational information through the power of sport.

To create a safe and positive environment for all participants to engage in sports activities

To ensure that all delivery is inclusive.

Plan appropriate coaching sessions based on needs of specific programmes and individuals.

Ensure all administration processes are implemented for sessions including registers, payments, session plans and registration forms are up to date and processed correctly.

Partake in any audits as required by the FAC authorities.

Support the talent ID process for all players.

To carry out other duties commensurate with your role during academic school holidays.

Plan, market and deliver programmes to encourage young females to participate in football and aid their development through fun and inclusive sessions.

To work in line with and contribute to coaching curriculums and resources.

To show commitment, motivation and enthusiasm, to enhance standards of coaching both personally and within your coaching programmes

To attend all meetings, professional development and appointments as requested by your line manager.

Work with less experienced coaches to support their development.
- To work across programmes to meet the needs of the organisation as and when requested by your line manager.

To create a safe and positive environment for all participants to engage in sports activities.

Refrain from promoting alternative provision which is in direct competition with BCFC Foundation.

Deal with customer complaints and escalate in line with the Foundations complaints policy.

Log and maintain details relating to all accidents and incidents.

Support with all Foundation marketing and social media.

The person
- FA UEFA C Coaching successfully completed
- Current FA Safeguarding & First Aid Certificates
- Previous experience of working with young people in a football environment and an understanding of Female talent pathways.
- Experience of and ability to organise and manage various administration elements related to the various Football Programmes
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work flexibly
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative attitude
- Other FA related Qualifications or Awards would be of an advantage
