Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As a Fire Sprinkler Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Duties

Install fire sprinkler systems according to design specifications and local codes.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing fire sprinkler systems.
Troubleshoot and repair faulty sprinkler systems, identifying issues through schematics and system design.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to perform installations and repairs.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure proper system design and functionality.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to fire safety systems.

Requirements

Proven experience in fire sprinkler system installation or maintenance is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and CAD software for system design.
Basic electrical knowledge is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Valid driver's licence may be required for travel to job sites.
Relevant certifications in fire protection or related fields are beneficial.
