Axis Solicitors is a well-established Personal and Business Immigration law firm. We have 3 offices in the UK (London, Birmingham and Manchester). We value our professional services in the Legal sector. The firm has been serving clients for more than 12 years now and we feel pride in delivering excellent client service.

We are hiring a qualified Solicitor experienced in Immigration Law to manage diverse immigration cases. Key responsibilities include client management, timely case handling, and effective representation in legal proceedings. The role demands a deep understanding of UK immigration law, strong advocacy skills, and proactive business development contributions. You will be based in our Manchester office.

Your Responsibilities

Case Management:

Manage a caseload of immigration matters, including visa applications, asylum claims, citizenship applications, and appeals. Ensure timely and effective handling of cases, providing clients with expert advice and regular progress updates.

Client Engagement:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships. Understand client’s needs, provide tailored advice, and ensure high client satisfaction.

Legal Expertise:

Demonstrate a deep understanding of UK immigration law and keep up-to-date with legislation, regulations, and policy changes. Apply legal knowledge creatively to solve complex immigration issues effectively.

Advocacy:

Represent clients in various courts, tribunals, and government agencies when required. Present compelling arguments on behalf of clients to achieve the best possible outcomes in their cases.

Research and Analysis:

Conduct legal research to support immigration cases, staying abreast of precedents and relevant legal developments. Analyse case law and apply findings to improve case strategies.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all immigration matters and adhere to the firm's internal policies and procedures.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to share knowledge and expertise, contributing to the overall success of the immigration team and the firm.

Business Development:

Proactively identify business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the immigration department. Participate in marketing initiatives, networking events, and client outreach to attract and retain new clients.

Your Qualifications

Qualified Solicitor:

A qualified Solicitor admitted to practice in England and Wales with a solid academic background in UK Immigration Law.

Immigration Expertise:

Strong knowledge of UK immigration laws, rules, and procedures and experience handling a wide range of immigration cases, with a proven track record of successful outcomes.

Client-Centric Approach:

Excellent client management skills and passion for delivering exceptional service. Ability to understand client’s needs and provide empathetic guidance throughout the legal process.

Communication Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling precise and concise communication with clients, colleagues, and authorities.

Analytical Thinking:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex cases and develop effective legal strategies.

Advocacy Skills:

Experience representing clients in immigration-related hearings, appeals, and other legal proceedings.

Proactivity:

A proactive and self-motivated individual with the zeal to take the initiative and drive positive outcomes for clients and the firm.

Flexibility:

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Professionalism:

Demonstrable professionalism, integrity, and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
