About the Role

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team in Hamilton, Scotland. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project specialists to understand operational needs, translate them into clear system requirements, and support the delivery of effective technology solutions.

This is a hands-on mid-level position suited to someone who enjoys solving business problems, improving processes, and working across both business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis: Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, interviews, and process reviews.

Requirements Management: Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process specifications, and acceptance criteria.

Process Improvement: Analyse existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, system usability, and data quality.

Systems Analysis: Evaluate existing applications and business systems to identify gaps, dependencies, integration requirements, and potential improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business users, developers, project managers, and external partners to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.

Testing Support: Assist with test planning, user acceptance testing, defect investigation, and validation of delivered solutions against agreed requirements.

Documentation: Maintain clear process maps, requirements documentation, system specifications, and project analysis materials.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, business systems, or a related technology role.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to investigate business problems, identify root causes, evaluate options, and develop practical recommendations.

Requirements: Experience gathering, documenting, validating, and managing business and functional requirements.

Communication: Confident communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly to non technical stakeholders and business requirements clearly to technical teams.

Tools: Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, process mapping tools, documentation platforms, and business analysis or project management systems.

Mindset: You are organised, commercially aware, detail focused, and comfortable taking ownership of your work while collaborating with different teams.

Pay: £3,044.00-£4,000.00 per month
