We are seeking dedicated and flexible Multi-Departmental Operations Assistants to deliver exceptional service across all areas of our venue. This role involves supporting mainly Housekeeping but sometimes food and beverage operations, front-of-house services, and reception.
You will play a vital part in ensuring that every guest receives a consistently high-quality experience while maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.
DIMENSIONS
Casual Hours - Work will be offered based on business needs across a 7‑day operation, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods. Working hours, days and start/finish times will vary in line with the operational requirements of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Experience
· Deliver consistently high standards of customer service, acting as a welcoming and professional ambassador for Ashorne Hill.
· Engage positively with guests and clients, responding to queries, resolving issues promptly, and escalating when appropriate.
· Maintain a proactive approach to addressing and anticipating customer needs, ensuring satisfaction and helping to deliver a memorable and personal experience.
· Maintain personal presentation and behaviour in line with company standards.
· Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
Housekeeping Duties
· Clean and maintain guest bedrooms, public areas, and external spaces to the required standards.
· Service vacant and occupied rooms, replenishing linens, towels, and toiletries.
· Carry out periodic deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled use in appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.
· Assist with laundry handling, stock rotation, and stock audits.
· Report maintenance issues, linen rejects, lost property, and security concerns in line with procedures.
Reception & Front of House Duties
· Provide efficient arrival, check-in, and check-out services to guests, visitors, and staff.
· Welcome and assist event contacts and trainers, understanding their expectations and communicating with other operational staff any adjustments required.
· Answer telephone calls promptly and direct enquiries appropriately.
· Promote and support the sale of accommodation, meeting rooms, catering services, and on-site facilities.
· Follow all reception procedures, including payments, customer materials and communication channels.
· Support meeting event setups, guest arrivals, lunchtime service coordination, and breakdown of meeting spaces.
· Act as the Emergency Point of Contact ‘The Duty Receptionist’ in the event of a fire, taking responsibility for the safe management of customers during an incident.
· Assist in the set up and delivery of team building activities as scheduled.
Food & Beverage Duties
· Support food and beverage service across all catering outlets, including restaurants, bar, coffee stations, and event spaces.
· Deliver courteous, efficient service to delegates, guests, and staff.
· Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times.
· Assist with setup, service, replenishment, and clearing of catering areas.
· Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally, escalating where required.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
· Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, housekeeping, reception, or food & beverage is desirable.
· Strong customer focus with a friendly, professional manner.
· Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· High attention to detail and organisational ability.
· Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.
· Essential Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to obtain).
· Flexibility to work varied shifts.
