£46,476.69 - £54,771.80 per annum for 37.5 hours per week (depending on experience)

St Catherines Hospice is a respected local charity providing specialist hospice care alongside statutory service partners (GPs, District nursing etc) across West Sussex and East Surrey.

This is an exciting opportunity to join St Catherines Hospice as aSenior Occupational Therapist, you will work as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary teamincluding specialist therapists, counsellors, social workers, spiritual care and complementary therapists, nurses and doctorsdelivering high quality, person centred care across the Inpatient Unit, community services and the Wellbeing Centre.

The Role:

This post is offered on a permanent basis, working full time or part time, hours starting from 27 hours per week, up to 37.5 hours per week.

Please note, the successful candidate will be an essential car user, therefore candidates must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

About You:

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about end of life care? Would you find it rewarding to deliver specialist OT interventionsacross hospice services?

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialist, evidence based Occupational Therapy care to patients referred to St Catherines Hospice.

You will demonstrate clinical leadership within the Therapy and wider wellbeing team, managing complex and challenging clinical presentations associated with life limiting illness. You will contribute to service development and the ongoing creation and maintenance of a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring care is delivered safely, compassionately and to a consistently high standard.

Senior Occupational Therapist will bring:

Advanced clinical knowledge of palliative and end of life care
Confident and effective communication and leadership skills
Ability to support and motivate your team in a positive and professional working environment
Assessing patient needs, planning and delivering responsive holistic patient centred care
