Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Co-ordinator to join our growing aggregates sales team and support the continued growth of our business across the construction industry.

Our business supplies a wide range of primary and recycled aggregates, sands, soils and construction materials, supporting groundworkers, housebuilders, civil engineering contractors, landscaping companies and other construction businesses across the UK.

This is a fast-paced, phone-based sales role, ideal for someone who enjoys speaking to customers, building relationships, identifying opportunities and working towards clear commercial targets.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer relationships and maximising sales opportunities across the aggregates market.

Key responsibilities will include:

Making a high volume of outbound calls to existing and prospective customers
Identifying new projects, sites and sales opportunities
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
Preparing and negotiating competitive quotations
Following up enquiries and converting opportunities into sales
Understanding customer requirements and sourcing the right materials and transport solutions
Working closely with suppliers, quarries, hauliers and the wider sales team
Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity records
Working towards individual and team sales targets

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is driven, commercially minded and confident on the phone.

Experience within aggregates, construction, haulage, civils or building materials would be highly advantageous, although we will consider strong sales candidates with the right attitude and transferable experience.

You will be:

Confident and professional when dealing with customers
Target-driven and motivated by achieving results
Comfortable making outbound calls and developing new business
Commercially aware with good negotiation skills
Organised and able to manage multiple enquiries and opportunities
Resilient, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment
A strong team player with a positive attitude
