Overview
This exciting role is an opportunity for a motivated individual with both exceptional analytics skills and a passion for providing best in class expertise to customers. You will work with ai’s clients to play a key role in the identification of fraud to minimise fraud losses, both current and future. You will investigate and analyse client transaction activity and then escalate fraud patterns to senior stakeholders. This role will provide comprehensive exposure to the ‘FinTech’ industry and offers excellent progression opportunities within the business.

This role reports to the Managed Services Support Team Leader, as part of the Fraud and Compliance Team.

Due to the requirement to support Client business operating hours, this role involves shift work rotating between weekday shifts between 07:30 – 18:15, Monday to Friday, and one weekend morning shift (09:00 – 13:00) approximately once per month. There is an additional requirement to work weekend mornings on a monthly rota basis, with a subsequent day-off in lieu.

This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to be in our Woking office at least three days per week. As a collaborative and fast-moving team, we’ve found that in-person interaction plays a key role in successful onboarding, knowledge sharing, and team culture—so we welcome candidates who enjoy being in the office more regularly.

Responsibilities

Develop expertise on ai’s fraud prevention solutions and act as a subject-matter expert on identification of fraud within the business.
Investigate customer transactions that have been flagged as suspicious and escalate fraud concerns to senior client stakeholders.
Actively take part in fraud management discussions with clients to drive improvements in performance and ultimately reduce levels of financial crime.
Identify areas for product and service enhancements, and to champion these enhancements within the business.
Support the continuous improvement of fraud detection strategies and operational processes.
Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to investigations and escalations.
Any other duties reasonably required
Coordinate response efforts during emergencies, ensuring swift and effective action.
Lead incident investigations, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
Liaise with internal teams and external agencies during critical situations.
Develop and update emergency management protocols and procedures.
Conduct training sessions on alert response procedures, including first aid where applicable.
Maintain accurate records of alerts, responses, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance alert management processes.

Qualifications

Degree qualified or equivalent professional financial crime prevention qualification
Ability to assess information critically and make informed decisions.
High levels of integrity, professionalism, and tact.
Capable of explaining concepts, problems and solutions to a non-expert audience
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
“Fintech” industry exposure preferred or understanding of the payments lifecycle
Preference for candidates who value and enjoy in-person collaboration
Hybrid Working Model: minimum 3 days per week in our Woking office

Pay: £28,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
