Job Summary
Disclaimer:
The job role is suitable for those with a comprehensive bookkeeping background in the UK with SMEs with the addition of office admin work, that includes scanning paperwork, and aiding staff & the directors with any admin tasks necessary. This isn't a sole bookkeeper role. The maximum terms we can offer currently is 20 hours per week at a fixed weekly schedule at the national minimum wage for full transparency. Strong excel skills are a must.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper & Office Administrator to join our team. This role involves managing financial records, maintaining accurate accounts, and supporting daily administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a professional environment.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records, must have an intermediate level of excel knowledge
Have experience dealing with business' that require annual accounts, VAT & self assessment preparation
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and timeliness
Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and administrative records
Support general office administration including managing correspondence, and handling phone enquiries

Skills

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, Mainly MS EXCEL
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy office environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
