This specialist contractor has built an outstanding reputation delivering complex structural refurbishment and alteration projects across Prime Central London’s ultra high-end residential market.

Their projects typically range from £500k to £5m, including:

Structural alterations
Basement construction
New floor additions
Complex refurbishment and enabling works

The business is busy, financially secure and has a healthy pipeline of work with tender enquiries continuing to increase. More importantly, the directors have a clear growth strategy and are investing in the people needed to help deliver it.

This isn’t a replacement hire. It’s a key appointment designed to strengthen the business as it continues to expand.

The opportunity

As the Senior Estimator, you’ll lead a small but growing estimating team while remaining hands-on with key tenders.

Working closely with the directors, you’ll play an influential role in developing the estimating function, improving processes and supporting the company’s growth over the coming years. Your ideas and commercial input will help shape both the department and the wider business.

You’ll manage a team consisting of an Estimator and Junior Estimator, with scope to build the team further as the company grows.

What you’ll be up to

Alongside leading the estimating function, you’ll be responsible for:

Managing and preparing competitive tenders for complex construction projects.
Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and tender requirements.
Negotiating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
Visiting prospective projects and developing logistics and traffic management plans.
Producing RFIs, cashflow forecasts and cost models.
Providing comprehensive handovers to the Operations team.
Supporting Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers throughout live projects.
Carrying out post-project reviews to improve future tender submissions.
Maintaining accurate estimating data and CRM records.
Attending client meetings, presentations and tender debriefs.
Ensuring compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements.
