Full job description

The Primary Care Workforce Academy (PCWA) is looking for a Project Support Officer - fixed term for 18 months. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and adaptable individual to support the delivery of education, training, CPD and workforce development programmes across South East London. You will work with a range of healthcare and education partners, helping coordinate projects, training events and initiatives that strengthen PCWA and the services we provide.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will involve coordinating projects and training events, working with healthcare and education partners, monitoring attendance and outcomes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the delivery of key workforce initiatives across Southeast London. Finally, you will also provide day-to-day support to the team and contribute to improving processes and ensuring staff have access to high-quality development opportunities.This is a varied, hands-on role offering excellent opportunities for professional growth within an ambitious and expanding organisation.

This role is for 18 months-fixed term contract.

About You

Ideally, PCWA is looking for an organised, reliable and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. For this role we would like you to have good IT skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your time effectively while working independently and as part of a team. Experience in an administrative role, ideally within healthcare or education, is necessary for your application to advance. The best candidates will be self-motivated, adaptable, willing to learn and able to work confidently with colleagues at all levels while maintaining confidentiality and a high standard of work.

For this role you will need to have:

GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent qualifications. Computer literacy skills including knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Good interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in data management

Ability to competently navigate IT software systems

Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels

Ability to work under pressure in potentially stressful situations

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a healthcare or educational setting.

Good organisational and planning skills

To be flexible and reliable

Willingness to learn new skills

Good understanding of confidentiality policies

To be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a high standard of personal performance and eye for detail
