Kitchen Assistant – Full Time (52 Weeks per Year)

Dulwich Oaks Montessori Nursery School – Dulwich, London SE19

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team at Dulwich Oaks Montessori Nursery School.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working all year round (52 weeks per year). This is not a term-time only role.

Hours

Monday to Friday
9:00am – 6:00pm
42.5 hours per week (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

This is a hands-on role supporting our busy nursery kitchen. No cooking is required, as all meals are freshly prepared and delivered by our catering company.

Your responsibilities will include:

Serving hot meals to children.
Ensuring children with allergies and dietary requirements receive the correct meals.
Recording fridge, freezer and food temperatures.
Washing up using both the dishwasher and by hand.
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and hygienic at all times.
Cleaning the dining hall after meal times.
Assisting with general kitchen duties as required.

Full training and a detailed job description will be provided.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is:

Reliable and punctual.
Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
Hardworking, proactive and able to use their own initiative.
Happy working in a busy, fast-paced nursery environment.
Experienced in working with food (preferred).
Holds a current Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable, but training can be provided).
