Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Solicitor or experienced Paralegal/CILEX Advocate to join our dynamic Family Department. In this vital role, you will provide expert legal advice and representation on a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child arrangements, care, adoption, and domestic violence cases. Your energetic approach will help clients navigate complex legal processes with confidence, ensuring they receive clear guidance and compassionate support throughout their legal journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on family law issues, including divorce proceedings, child arrangements, and financial settlements
Prepare and review legal documents
Represent clients in court hearings, meetings, and negotiations with professionalism and assertiveness
Conduct thorough case assessments by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with relevant parties
Maintain organised case files and ensure all deadlines are met efficiently
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
Stay updated on changes in family law legislation to provide accurate and current advice

Skills

Excellent communication skills to clearly explain legal options and advocate effectively for clients
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency in IT systems for case management, document drafting, and research purposes
Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Demonstrate understanding of family law procedures and courtroom etiquette
